1. Dr. Vincent Onywera, Ph.D, ISAK 2, Senior Lecturer, Department of Recreation Management and Exercise Science, Kenyatta University, Kenya, is the PAAT Project Leader
2. Professor Mark Tremblay, Ph.D., D.Litt. (hons), FACSM, CSEP-CEP. Professor Tremblay, who is the Founder and Director of HALO and Full Professor of Paediatrics at the University of Ottawa, Canada, serves as  a co-investigator and senior advisor on the project. 
3. Dr. Richard Larouche, an establish scholar in active transportation research on children, Canada, serves as an expert consultant on the project. 
4. Prof. Antonio Prista, a full Professor at the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Universidade Pedagógica, Maputo, Mozambique is a project investigator for the Mozambique site. 
5.Dr. Kingsley Kolapo Akinroye, MB.BS, MPH, the Executive Director of the Nigerian Heart Foundation and Patrick Olusegun Odegbami, HND (Eng), Chairman of the Nigerian Academicals Sport Committee are      investigators for the Nigerian site of this project.

PAAT RESEARCH UPDATE

Physical Activity and Active Transport (PAAT) Research Project began with the training of research assistants on data quality management i.e. data collection and quality control. This paved way for data collection.  PAAT involves four research locations: Kenya, Nigeria, Mozambique and Canada. The Kenya site (Kenyatta University) serves as the coordinating centre for the project.
